oh yeah. I had a friend in high school who got his license, and his parents gave him the option of a mint green on mint green leather Lincoln like this or a beat 454 suburban 2wd. He made the right choice and went with the Linc. That 460 was pitiful all choked down

I really like Malaise Era Z/28's. Yes, it's a muscle car that will pace a new corolla to 60, but it looks so awesome!

There was one at Cars and Coffee this weekend! It wasn't very easy to park, by the looks of it.

Would you limit the malaise era to a location (NA) or just the time period? If it's the latter there are lots of cars I like.

Malaise usually refers to NA, but I will take that all day!

cool! what were the differences between the Super Coupe and the R/T?

Apart from the exterior differences I think the only changes were heavy duty suspension and about 5 more horsepower.

They also tried to sell a Nascar replica named Street kit car. (Yes, that's a completely stock car in the picture.)

Oh no, its hard to even remember what was "good" from this dark era of motoring

I would say the four eye fox would be up there, but if I was going to buy a four eye I'd leave the malaise era and jump for an 86 with EFI.

I hope they all didn't say 43.

But knowing the era.

Yeah, they probably all said 43. The question now becomes...why 43?

Not sure if this technically qualifies seems more of a of late muscle car. But the cars entire design was 1970s era. If this doesn't count then Lincoln Mark iv

My dad's college car. 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance. 19 feet long, 502 V8, eight miles of vinyl wood and vinyl leather inside. Malaise perfection.

oh yeah. Even all strangled down. I worked one summer at Moroso Performance and they had a couple of 502's around for R+D work. If you ever get to hear one supercharged at redline through open headers, it is truly something to behold

I always though these were bad ass, always liked the frame-less doors. I think you could get it with a 454 (7.4L) still was slow.
